Homemade Soya Chaap😋😋

Homemade Soya chaap -:

Hi all, today, I am going to tell you how to prepare Soya chaap at home cos what we buy from markets are not healthy ones.

I use to buy soya chaap from the market to date and use it to prepare dishes with the bought ones.

I never felt the requirement to prepare chaaps at home.

But in this lockdown situation when markets are not functional, my daughter wants to eat soya chaap biryani.

I feel helpless because of the non-availability of the same and they were not available even on the daily online deliveries portal.

Then, I asked to my relatives and friends how to get the same.

One of my relatives said that why don’t you make at home, and whoa!!!, the idea instantly hit my cooking passion as she shared the recipe.

I am sharing the same recipe for all my lovely visitors so that you can experiment at home in this lockdown period.

It is a good idea to cook maximum dishes at home and stay healthy and stay safe.

For preparing it you need soya bean seeds, soya chunks, and all-purpose flour (maida or refined flour) as the main ingredients.

Soak Soya bean seeds overnight, rinse it properly, drain and keep aside. I struggled a lot in getting soya bean seeds as it was not available anywhere.

And then one fine day I checked grofers (an online grocery delivery app), and fortunately it was available there.

This scarcity is just due to coronavirus led lockdown otherwise in normal scenario it is available readily.

After draining the soya beans, put the soaked beans in the grinder and grind it to smooth paste by adding little water or as per the requirement.

Boil the soya chunks in a pan for a few minutes and then drain the water.

Add these chunks to cold water so that they become smooth.

Now squeeze all the water from the chunks and grind it to fine paste.

Add both the pastes together and mix well to make a fine mixture.

Now add all purpose flour(maida or refined flour), and salt to the mixture and mix it well so that all the ingredients are combined with each other.

Knead this mixture to a soft dough by adding little water or as needed.

Roll this dough to give a chapati like round shape.

Now cut vertical strips from this chapati and roll it on the sticks.

Now immerse these sticks into boiling water for sometime and after that add these sticks into cold water.

Take out the sticks from the water and leave it as it is for few minutes.

Your Soya chaap sticks are ready to cook.😊😊
