Sweet Lassi – Overview
:-
Sweet Lassi or meethi lassi is one of the most popular cool drinks available in all parts of India in summer.
Summer is the season when you want to cool yourself with a variety of cool drinks while shopping, while you are in the office or while you are enjoying yourself with your friends.
Though there are hundreds of cool drinks available that range from fruit shakes to smoothies to fruit juices to aerated cold drinks.
I will not all recommend anyone to drink aerated cold drinks.
They are very harmful to your health, they contain a high level of sugar content and harmful chemicals.
Best option is to go for meethi lassi, aam panna, buttermilk, or mojitos.
Origin of Sweet Lassi
Lassi, which is a yogurt-based drink, originated from the lands of Punjab that is the heart of India’s Sikh community.
Punjabi lassi is prepared by mixing hung curd with thick curd, water, ice, and garnishing ingredients like peda, saffron strands, almonds, pistachios, and rosewater.

There are different utensils to serve lassi :-
At someplace they serve in a long-tail glass (generally you can find high-end restaurants serving lassi in this way).
In UP, they serve in Kullhad (earthen glass), and in Punjab, copper glass is used to serve lassi.
It is prepared by mixing curd with water, ice, and other spices like green cardamom, saffron strands, dry fruits, and rosewater.
Today I am going to prepare the simplest, yet very tasty and healthy drink and that is our favorite meethi lassi.👇
